2. Become a Big Brother or Sister

Just 67 minutes a week can make a big difference in the life of a young person. The Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Africa mentoring programme matches up individuals (called 'Bigs') with children at risk between the ages of six and 18 (called 'Littles') for a period of one year. Anyone over the age of 18 can become a Big Brother or Sister, but the not-for-profit organization is especially looking for African language speakers and male volunteers...

Go on - be a role model and help a child develop their self-esteem.
